Why Bees Belong at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary – Supporting Pollinators in Cornwall

Alongside caring for rescued seals, the Cornish Seal Sanctuary is also home to a thriving hive of native Cornish black bees. Working with the Cornish Black Bee Company, the sanctuary is helping to protect pollinators, restore wildflower habitats, and boost biodiversity in Cornwall, proving that conservation can happen both above and below the water.
A sad farewell to Cliff

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our much-loved puffin, Cliff, who sadly died after a sudden illness on Friday 5th September. Cliff quickly became a favourite among the team and visitors, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Grey seal pup season is here, and these vulnerable little animals need our help. Most pups are safe with their mothers, but human disturbance can put them at serious risk. Keep your distance, control your dogs, and contact us if you see a pup in distress. Together, we can give Cornwall’s seal pups the best chance to thrive.
