Keeping Admission Affordable for Our Guests
You may have seen announcements about a new government VAT relief scheme that will result in reduced prices at some attractions.
As a registered charity, our admission tickets are already exempt from VAT, meaning we do not charge VAT on eligible entrance tickets. Because of this, there is no VAT saving for us to pass on through a further reduction in admission prices.
In fact, earlier this year we made the decision to lower our admission prices to help more people connect with marine wildlife and enjoy a day out with us. As we have already reduced ticket prices, we are not currently planning to run an additional admission discount alongside the new scheme.
Where the VAT relief does apply within our operation is on children's meals, and we will be reflecting this in the pricing of eligible children's meal options. Please note that this applies specifically to children's meals and not to all children's food items or snacks.
As a charity, every visit helps support the rescue, rehabilitation and care of the animals that call the Sanctuary home.
We are incredibly grateful for your support and remain committed to providing great value while continuing our vital conservation and animal welfare work.
