Victory for Seals on Cornwall’s Coast

Cornwall Council has voted to discourage the sale of dangerous flying rings, thanks to the efforts of the Cornish Seal Sanctuary, our supporters, and partners like the Seal Research Trust and BDMLR. This move is a vital step in protecting seals from injury and suffering caused by discarded plastic toys.

From colourful seals with plasters to cheeky pasty-loving pups, local school children let their imaginations run wild in our 50th anniversary logo competition. With help from our resident seal, Banana, one special design was given the ultimate ‘seal of approval’!
