Due to our location, there are steep paths and uneven surfaces, but we have options in place with regards to accessibility. Please talk to us about your needs at the time of your booking to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable visit.
We have a free car park in front of the main reception building which is suitable for coaches and minibuses.
From reception, it is a 10-15 minute woodland walk however we have a golf buggy that runs during peak season and if requested at the time of booking for your group’s visit.
Visitors using mobility scooters or electric wheelchairs
The hills leading down to our pools may exceed 16° which may not be suitable for some mobility scooters and electric wheel chairs. Please check your instruction manuals before visiting, or take advantage of our free land train.
We also have limited accessible parking available near our hospital and seal pools. Please see further information on accessible parking below.
Our Golf Buggy
Throughout the year, we have a golf buggy that runs from reception to the seals pools and stops at the seal hospital. It can take up to 5 passengers or 2 plus a wheelchair, buggy or mobility scooter.
For visitors unable to use our golf buggy for any reason, we do have limited accessible parking available near our hospital and seal pools. Please see further information on accessible parking below.
Accessible Parking
Our main accessible parking area is immediately in front of our main reception.
We can permit up to 6 cars - to drive on site for accessible parking near our seal pools and hospital. Speak to our front reception team on arrival who will issue you with a parking pass.
Please note: While our buggy is running during peak times, the number of accessible parking spaces down at our seal pools is reduced, as extra space is required on site to allow our bus to turn around.
If during your visit parking down near our seals pools is full, we can allow visitors to drive on site to drop-off and pick-up, please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information.
Accessible Toilets
Our accessible toilets and baby changing facilities are located in our front reception, and on the left-hand side of our Seal Hospital. Our baby changing facilities include changing units with a weight limit of 50lbs. Unfortunately, there are no permanent toilet facilities once down the hill by our seals pools due to the estuary location.
