Headline sponsor: Cornish Lithium partners with Cornish Seal Sanctuary to support its sustainable future
Monday, 15 August 2022
Innovative minerals exploration company, Cornish Lithium, has been revealed as the headline sponsor for the launch of the Cornish Seal Sanctuary's ‘Fund Our Future’ campaign.
An invitation-only garden party is being held this summer at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary’s stunning site on the Helford Estuary to launch its campaign to raise £1.3million to build new pools for the charity’s resident seals.
The Cornish Seal Sanctuary is thrilled to announce this exciting new partnership with the Cornish Lithium team, as it prepares to welcome key businesses from around Cornwall to the event.
Cornish Seal Sanctuary Fundraising Manager, Leanne Webb says: “Working with a growing company that is at the forefront of Cornwall’s green industrial revolution and creating new, highly skilled jobs right here in the Cornish community, is an amazing opportunity.
“We pride ourselves on putting sustainability first as much as we can, and we couldn’t have found a better partner in Cornish Lithium, who so wholly reflect our values as a charity.
“We look forward to working with the team closely in the coming weeks and months as we continue to build this fantastic new partnership.”
Cornish Lithium is a highly innovative mineral exploration and development company that is focused on the environmentally-sustainable extraction of lithium from geothermal waters and hard rock in Cornwall’s historic mining district.
The Company uses modern technology to re-evaluate the region for its potential to produce lithium and other vital technology metals for the electric vehicle and other industries in a low carbon and low impact manner.
Lucy Crane, ESG & Sustainability Manager for Cornish Lithium, says: “Our purpose is to establish a secure and environmentally-responsible extraction industry in Cornwall for those minerals that can contribute to the global goal of decarbonisation through clean growth and a transition to a green economy.
“In synergy with our environmental, social and governance strategy, we are proud to support local organisations that help to educate and inspire generations to protect our seas and the wealth of marine life to be found within them, both now and in the future. The fact that the Cornish Seal Sanctuary is so popular with local families makes this partnership even more important to us and we look forward to playing our part in the Sanctuary’s bid to raise crucial funds that will transform its facilities and help to sustain its future.”
