Design a '50 Years of the Cornish Seal Sanctuary at Gweek' Logo

Calling All Young Artists...Help us celebrate 50 years of our Sanctuary at Gweek!

We are so excited to launch our '50 years at Gweek' creative competition for primary schools in Cornwall!

Children are encouraged to create a logo that captures the essence of the Seal Sanctuary’s work over the past five decades, while imagining a bright future for marine conservation in Cornwall.

We are inviting all primary school-aged children to take part in celebrating this incredible milestone with us.

As the Sanctuary at Gweek turns 50 years old, the focus is on creativity, education, and inspiring the next generation to protect our amazing marine life.

So grab your colouring pencils, paints and pens and get creative!

You have until 31st March to send us your logo design, all we ask is that it fits onto an A4 piece of paper.

Exciting prizes!

 The winning design will:

  • Be proudly displayed at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary, showcasing the young designer’s talent to thousands of our visitors.
  • Earn the winner’s class a complimentary school trip to the Sanctuary, including a guided tour.
  • Award a seal adoption to the runner-up, enabling their class to form a unique connection with their very own resident seal.

To help inspire your class to learn about seals (and puffins), we have some resources for you to use.

We also welcome entries from home school groups and Home educators in Cornwall.
